Today and tomorrow are emotional days for our family. 68 years ago today my parents were married and tomorrow is Dad's birthday. He would have been 93. But today on Veteran's Day I want to remember my dad the veteran.

The family of Filomena D'Alessandro and Giovanni Contestabile. Five children. One survived to adulthood. Filomena's brother-in-law, Pasquale Iannacone, was killed in the Monongah disaster. This was one of those long series of "No no no-s" as I found each succeeding death record.
