The press secretary posted this like it’s something to be proud of and not a huge destructive consequence that will permanently scar and depress our economy.

As you’d expect, he blames the lack of religion, families, the Left, “material impoverishment,” (which is horseshit of course but even people on here push this idea constantly). But more importantly is that JD Vance doesn’t seem to be all that worried about it!

Worth noting that in the 20 years they are taking credit for they only governed for about half of that (05-07, 13-22).

What became the ACA is actually to the *right* of the McCain-Palin health reform plan. In 2008, the GOP was proposing not just premium subsidies but also a multi-state public option for otherwise uninsurable Americans!

I remember back in 2019 a NRCC staffer called me, publicly, a misogynist because of my criticism of their tweet calling a Dem candidate a fake nurse. If I had done this in 2015, in a much less public-facing role, I would have been fired so fast. It’s amazing how quickly the party unmasked itself.
