🚨 We wrote about Flock rolling out "distress detection" that monitored human voices on their gunshot detection devices & asked how it was lawful under eavesdropping laws.

Now, they've changed the ad to replace a "SCREAMING" alert with a "DISTRESS" alert. See below:

Might be good to start by acknowledging that Britain is amongst the best integrated of any multi-ethnic society, and that integration is getting better, not worse.

Also, if culture is the determinant, does that mean we will strip the citizenship of natives with racist and fascist ideas?

WCAG-EM 2.0, a process to evaluate accessibility, is coming! We (me, @stevefaulkner.bsky.social and Jeroen) are updating it to:

- make the scope broader (from “websites” to any digital product)
- make it more readable
- bring it up to date (mentions design systems now)

Both cities have been massively underfunded and forgotten for a long time though and have real social issues, and the trope of “Hampshire is rich” harms both equally

It’s not really shitting on it it’s very much how it is, it’s notably more reactionary and right wing because of the military influence and more insular due to being an island.

Southampton is more open and has more immigration and a more militant dock.

Not sure how that’s contentious
