I've bag checked a 12 pack of beer bottles in styrofoam in a box, made sure everything was secure and nothing could jostle too much. It made it with no popped caps/broken bottles. As the other person said, you'll wanna make sure it's packed in tight so it can't jiggle too much.

NGL, when my kid wants a story on her yoto box while she gets ready for bed and it's an 8+m story, I pop it to 1.25x to keep my sanity. Plus it's a nice throwback to the old Micro Machines commercials.
