the thing Trump was pressed on a lot re: paying for stuff was in 2016 with "how will you pay for the wall" and the answer he arrived at was the absurd "Mexico will pay for it!" which is a huge blatant lie but the media was just like "ok" instead of really trying to get at him on it. Telling example!
