Learning guitar: last week, frustrated, searching "can any human play D major chord" and "is D major a myth"

This week: I can do it fine!

Love going from "I don't think I'll ever do this" (looking at how the knuckle on one finger doesn't bend properly, maybe it's impossible) to getting it working.

I am quite proud of the progress I have made learning the guitar. Suppose it’s mainly re-learning things I knew before, but nevertheless I’m enjoying it. It is nice to think of playing a full song - I know that’s some way away but I have a lifetime to learn.💚

Just finished my lesson with punk sixty-something lady who is learning what essentially boils down to classical guitar (reading music, technique although not the repertoire) on electric. She's keen and she's learning fast. A good lesson. #guitarlessons

Learning how to play Fast Car on guitar and it is very fun to play.

No chance I could play and sing at the same time though, for now.

I fucking love playing the guitar. I always have. It's a different love than when I was younger though. In many respects I'm more in love with it. Learning techniques I didn't have the patience for, jumping into theory that i shunned. Still love finding riffs and songs more than anything though.

Excited because my latest guitar lesson is teaching me how to play part of Wish You Were Here. Making progress against something recognizable (that I like) is really motivating, even if learning is slow going.
