Hate to say this, especially since I hate Meta...

But in just 24 hours I've connected with more artists, filmmakers, and creatives on Threads than I have on BlueSky. Haven't run into much gAI stuff either — yet.

I guess if the Sky ain't working for ya, Threads might be a better option.

So... In less than two years they went from: "AI is a tool, not a replacement" to "machines should be treated as workers".

In other words: "we should invest in more computers to replace the costly employees".

I'm not a lo-fi guy, but for all of you out there who are.

I used to love the Internet 20 years ago.

Thanks to my dad, we were early adopters. I had a GeoCities page in the 90s, a forum early 00s.

I spent my days and nights online. Creating, learning, and connecting with people across the globe.

Honestly, the Internet gave us hope for a better future.

I think art itself, in any form, is extremely romantic and cheesy.

We're overreacting when we feel the notes we play or the stories we tell.

Maybe that's why artists are... strange... We're living between real life and fantasy. And we really believe that fantasy is real sometimes.

Can't believe that it's been a couple of years already since the media regenerators began swallowing the internet whole.

You see the regenerated garbage everywhere these days.

But there's still demand for original human art.

Build relationships with people who share your values and work together.

A pariah.

They want your work but don't want to pay you your worth.

They see the value in the end result but refuse to believe the amount of work it takes.

I'll blame social media for this one too. Crap passes as content so people give up good for crap as long as it's cheaper.

Deactivated my Twitter over the weekend — bliss. Now I can breathe again.

What settings do I have to tweak so my feed doesn't look like the early stages of DeviantArt's fallout and turn it into something more like Behance's instead?

No offense to any artists out there, but I'm closer in age to my deathbed than I am to puberty. It's a much more somber mood where I'm at.

I hate Bluesky's logo. I wish it was the side profile of a butterfly or at an angle... Maybe smaller or something.

Still, it's way better than that X logo that looks like something that came out of the "Bad Designs from the 90s" gallery.
