Probably. But I'm trying Instagram simultaneously and the algorithm there is just wacky. Personally, I want my work to be seen by the right people while connecting with like-minded artists. So it worked for me... For now, at least.

Are you the voice inside my head?

Consciously or subconsciously, most of us are using the Internet the way the tech corps want us to.

We crave "engagement", obsess over analytics, and spend half our waking lives watching a "feed" of spam driven by algorithms on some platform or the other.

Is there any going back to what once was?

Then came social media and killed every good thing here.

Nowadays, I don't only mourn Big Tech's takeover of the Internet, I also feel tremendous sadness over the fact that the culture here has changed a lot.

Led by the algorithms, our perception of this space transformed into something pathetic.

It's all about perspective. I came here to escape the toxicity on Twitter, but found it here tenfolds — people shilling for corrupt warmongers and pretending like it's the righteous thing to do — Dystopian. I had no comrades, so I reactivated my Twitter.

What happens when someone blocks you? You can see their posts but can't interact with them? Do you still see their posts on your feed?

Supported the orange man. These are mostly political refugees you're seeing.

I think you're right. Probably the "ay eye" in the pack's name.

Is it possible these accounts are all run by the same person/group? Would be nice if we can track IPs or find out where they're originating from.

Followed you about two hours ago?

Speaking of the devil.

Interestingly, I've not discussed that topic a single time on Bsky. I feel it's more about mutual followers.

No way to just remove them from following you, is there? I've only found a block option.

أعتقد أنه الكثير من الفنانين والكتّاب والناس اللي يستخدموا خيالهم من طفولتهم صوتهم الداخلي ينضج ويوعى بس ما يتغيّر.
