I spent Christmas at a wildlife rehab. I got to meet an opossum!! And a turkey vulture, an owl whose species I've forgotten, and a dingbat raven named Piglet who couldn't figure out what to do with a deviled egg

The problem isn't that people have run out of ideas, the problem is that those in power don't want to pay people what they are worth to develope them. If a person or team develops something that doubles a company's profits, they don't see their compensation double, so there's little incentive.

The problem isn't that people have run out of ideas, the problem is that those in power don't want to pay people what they are worth to develope them. If a person or team develops something that doubles a company's profits, they don't see their compensation double, so there's little incentive.
My Christmas contribution is goose breasts. They'll go in the dutch oven here in a few hours and they will hopefully be delicious. I didn't know goose meat was so dark!

I dropped my sapphire ring off to have the busted loose stone put back and the jeweler asked if I was spending Christmas with the family.
I've never gotten good at explaining they're all mostly dead.
It was awkward.
But I'll have my ring back soon!

I'm avoiding using heat while waiting on a payment to hit my account (accidentally locked more money than I should have into a CD, USAA takes 10 days to process an early withdrawal) so I've been baking to keep the house warmer. I'll do sugar cookies today

I don't think I'll be able to get VR&E to allow a minor in agriculture education bc I can't find 3 job listings requiring it as a minor. I know I would get a ton out of it and it would be great for my future but I don't know how to justify it

I've put on probably 20lbs in the last 6 months and I'm displeased with myself, my clothes stopped fitting. I'm hoping to stick to at least 30 minutes of some kind of weight lifting a day plus hiking while I'm home for winter break. The dog will be getting her own steps in with me.

The sweet, kind, lone young men in my chem group admitted he'd drunkenly let a young lady write "vulgar" things in places on him with mascara. It would not come off with water despite scrubbing. He needed help.
