I've decided to start watching movies with my eyes closed to avoid spoilers 📽️

I saw angels last night in O'Connell St. Or heroes. Maybe both. Massive queue of all ages under the dying eye of CuChullain in the GPO window - and there were the angels, serving food. The Muslim Sisters of Eire , those are the heroes of our time, staving off the hunger on the streets of Dublin.

18/ The Ugly Stepsister

Another one that we've been saving. Deserves the hype and I look forward to seeing more from everyone involved.
A ★★★★½ review of The Ugly Stepsister (2025)
Sublime. Now matter how extreme the body modifications seemed I'm sure they pale against modern cosmetic procedures.

Our main weapon is splendor. Splendor and victory, victory and splendor.

Our two main weapons, are splendor, victory... and nice white uniforms.

Our THREE! Amongst our weapons... are such diverse elements as splendor, victory; I'll come in again.

Trump: "We don't know anything about defeat. We heaped honor upon honor and carved greatness and splendor into the pages of history. We only talk about the Navy and only use the word, splendor. We also say victory because that's the other. We have splendor and we have victory."

The milkshake straw scene would definitely hit different

15/ The Dollmaker

YouTube gave me a trigger warning before playing this which is understandable.
A ★★★★ review of The Dollmaker (2017)
That was unexpected! Packs a great deal into a quick simple short.

13/ The Vanishing

It's been so long since I've seen the American remake that I had thankfully forgotten everything in it.

I can see why the original gets so much praise.
A ★★★★ review of The Vanishing (1988)
A wonderfully dark and quirky movie. Slow, intimate and unexpectedly funny. Full of points that have you asking what you would do and a puzzle that keeps you guessing through every turn.

12/ Threshold

Two minute short from Dylan Clark.

Some interesting shots but the reactions of the characters are inexplicable.

9/ Night of the Reaper

There are enough surprises to pay off the more pedestrian portions of the movie. Jessica Clement is great in the lead role.
A ★★★ review of Night of the Reaper (2025)
I'm glad I went in blind because this would be really easy to spoil. There's a lot of good but it really drags towards the end.

8/ Cube

Back in my Blockbuster Video days this was always an easy recommendation for oatrons. Solid appeal to Sci-Fi and Horror viewers and very low chance they had already seen it.
A ★★★ review of Cube (1997)
Cult Sci-Fi/Horror. You can see it's influence on so many films that came later. A few more traps would have been great but the flaws are mostly due to budget and general 90s-ness.
