I can’t believe how wonderful it is to have a cat again! Baxter has made my life joyful again. I am so lucky to have rescued a wonderful boy who is gentle and loving. Perhaps he should have a Bluesky account but the others who do that are so good I’m not sure I can compete.

This is my new cat, Baxter who is 9.5 years old and is a sweetheart. Just got him from Halo Rescue in Phoenix. He is a chill guy and is soon to be my best friend.

Went to the no kings protest in Mesa. Lots of people there and all were well behaved.

Larry, the young chicken who showed up in our yard comes over and hops up in my lap for a short snooze. Jim put up a barrier to keep out predators and I ordered an air conditioner since it is already 105. He is a happy chicken.

This is Larry. A very young quail who somehow got separated from his family. So he is trying to make me into family. He’s a very sweet boy and he has only the best quail food. If I’m not out here he hides but comes out when I call him. I will do my best to care for him.
