idk Epstein's favorite airport is just 5 minutes away from a McDonalds, that's gotta be like Trump's UPS store

One thing that makes me depressed is that we’re bringing back medieval blood libel for minority groups (Haitians and Somalis in particular) and where once normies would be shocked or ignorant, now they’re saying stuff like “perfidis Judaeis-cels be seething over Good Friday chads” bc of TikTok

Trees apparently will suffer from global warming more than most plants, I remember reading. That could well be real spin in a few years.

Trump allowed the richest man in the world to condemn potentially millions of people to death. In a just world, this moral atrocity would follow all involved — Musk, DOGErs, Vought, Marco Rubio and Trump — like a trail of blood for the rest of their days.

The most consequential legacy of DOGE will be human misery on a massive scale

If you write it in the calculator and turn it over it says "BOLD OF YOU TO ASSUME THERE WILL BE ELECTIONS" which is just not helpful at all

The next year hasn't even happened yet, how would we even know what year it's gonna be?

"It's tragic you lost the house, but this isn't just a crisis -- it's an opportunity to work towards what matters. This is your best chance to rebound in luxury with low low rooms on Booking.com like at the Reno, NV Doubletree by the airport"

Yeah I was going to say "is my 1 monster a day software engineer habit that bad?" And then... Jeez.

I'm wondering if we'll see the equivalent of those not-laptop crash cart terminals people use for server farm administration but usb-c to steam deck-like handheld with its own screen. Good way to get around the ram crisis, and I've never enjoyed a phone gamepad attachment.

True but also hoping this is the year of bazite on the telephone desktop, too

Are you doing any kind of pc vming or just emulators and app store stuff? I'm very excited about the Android 16 AVF terminal, which uses the very cool pKVM system for fun. Hoping it gets stable enough for gaming but even just full fat emacs on Android without termux will make me happy.

A morbid part of me wonders what responses one'd get outside a Trump event dressed like his fans asking "dead son or trans daughter" like the homophobic bro podcast line. Wonder how many of those clowns would lose in Wise King Solomon's Court?

Well you see Trump picked them because he's a very aesthetic person

And yeah it'd fuck up access, but would people outside his diehards really keep talking about him every hour of every day if it's just Tim Pool? On some level, he wants to insult people who disagree with him and get hate from people he thinks little of. The press has the leverage he cares about.

I kinda get "He doesn't show remorse or shame, even when called out," but the thing is you then need to go after that insecurity it compensates for, or make it clear what he said is embarrassing.

Anderson Cooper said he made a toddler's argument one time, and that was it for the next 12 years.

Agreed. It's great for refactoring but unless I'm very granular in telling it how to implement a new feature, my envelope of control and ability to maintain the system breaks and I'm just acting like the most checked out pm. "Doesn't work." "Doesn't work." "Did you fake the results i wanted?"
