I probably really annoyed my bartender from Yonkers (we were at a bar in OH) by asking why he didn’t have an accent but I am OBSESSED with dialects and could talk about them ALL DAY.

I keep seeing people say that less than 1 percent of mass shootings are committed by trans people.

That's somewhat misleading.

It's actually less than 0.1 percent.

More than 99.9% of mass shootings over the past decade were committed by non-trans people.

Devastating 😢. Loneliness and social isolation have been identified as significant public health issues, with older adults suffering at high rates. The combo of increased isolation, health/cognitive decline, and inability to determine safe online contacts is an absolute disaster.
