Last night I went to Maymont’s Garden Glow in Richmond #RVA w/family. For 4 hours I didn’t think about politics, food insecurity, fundraising for the cats, bills, vet visits or fleas + cat flu. It was freaking glorious. S’mores, hot cocoa + laughter. Find your joy, always. It was cold + I loved it.

I was just in the shower throwing myself a pity party. “Maybe baby Kenna should be w/someone w/more means” I thought. “Maybe I’m being selfish.” “How am I going to keep up her care?” I got dressed + saw this ⬇️
I love her w/all of my heart. I’m just tired. She belongs w/me no matter how hard it gets.

I recently had to throw away all of Kenna’s crinkle bags + I finally ordered her a new one. This one is a little pricey but is good quality, includes attached toys + is a good size.

Kenna got her stitches out BUT she has a SEVERE bladder infection that the doc thinks she’s had since cystostomy surgery bc she wasn’t on an antibiotic long enough. Lots of bacteria, blood, crystals, you name it. 😢 She’s now on an injectable that she’s not tx resistant to. Port IS doing 🧵 (con’t)
