I’ve often wondered what could be meant when people say the “real America”. There used to be the term (rarely used anymore) “Americana” which (as I recall) referred to cultural vestiges (images, music, words, objects) of the 19th and 18th centuries.

I bought the first Pearls Before Swine album in 1967 when I was 15. I loved it. It became a secret treasure because all my friends hated it. Ah, lovely Tom Rapp.

A Nuremberg II is unlikely. They will be out of office when the Trump II presidency finally comes to an end; there will be some interminable, useless hearings (as all hearings/investigations tend to be); a few will write dishonest, self-serving books, become obnoxious right wing commentators . . .
