I've played most of ARR and Heavensward on PS5 with a controller, and it's a great way to play. The way they handle action bars with controller is frighteningly good.

I'd absolutely recommend a notebook. From the moment I started the game, the part of my brain dedicated to pattern recognition went into FULL ALERT, and every note I've taken has paid off. There's no magic. There are mentions of murder, but you can play the main story without worrying about that.
