a relevant object case: osama bin laden is dead, but the war on terror turned out to be a forever war. (yes, the osama character was fabricated.)

the insinuation that a totalizing power is a malign aberration that emerges in the face of catastrophe, uses catastrophe as an opportunity, i guess is sorta incisive. but the idea that that malignancy can be exorcised simply by the defeat of the manufactured terrorist is naive for sure.
