They will conveniently ignore that the lack of voter showing for progressives downballot is because too few people showed for Harris. Upballot really matters in presidential cycles.

No. Trump voters do not equal MAGA. People who identify as conservative far outweight the MAGAts of the world. Lots of conservatives stayed home because they hate Trump. Look at Obama -> Trump voters, Biden -> Trump voters. Your position is completely reductionist.

I don’t dispute the midterms will be a success for the democrats, but it’s because they will have shifted to the right for the sake of winning. Which begs the question, what is being won other than a more conservative politics?

We’re allowing society to shift right by embracing the inevitability of that narrative.
As we move towards the right, more and more and more things will be considered “woke” and “progressive” - next election cycle, center Democrats will be calling abortion access and minimum wage rise “woke”.
