So far I have seen blue jays, house sparrows, house finches, starlings, a red bellied woodpecker, a song sparrow, cardinals, a goldfish, but the Carolina wrens that I know live out there are not to be seen.

One of the reasons I'm a hermit is that I am hyper-sensitive to the emotional states of the other humans around me. It can be paralysing. Lately, it feels like I'm drowning under waves of collective grief. Let's carry this heavy weight for each other when we can.
