I get something like that with the jokes in my cartoons. I look at old sketchbooks and laugh at the gags like I've discovered some long-dead genius.

I've had that experience with a few snack foods from my youth. Underwood Deviled Ham, Bugles... and it's not clear if my palate has changed or they've been cheaping out on the recipe.
