Btw I like Beetlejuice in the movie as a man, not only as a character. But he is still freak with a sick sense of humour (which I like!!!) but the movie Lydia won’t be happy with him, he is too manipulative and she is too traumatised.

Everything that was listed to me as a manifestation of his love for Lydia is nothing more than manipulation. "I will help you, you will help me". That’s how it works, he is trying to be nice for her to have profit, I can’t see love here (in traditional understanding of love)

I would also like to note that not marrying her to Beetlejuice is the best decision, it would still be very traumatic for her. You can ship anything and anyone, but canon is canon and according to canon they never became a couple.

i've seen a lot of complaints about lydia's character, but i'm pretty sure that the traumatic events really did affect her and i'm willing to believe that she could grow up into the scared woman with ptsd from beetlejuice in part one☝️

I liked that Beetlejuice grew as a character and became calmer, which is natural for his new position in society. But it's fanfic. A good one, but fanfic. The atmosphere is different, it's not the same as the 1st movie. It's just different.
