During the election, Labour promised to cut energy bills by £300.

Instead, they’ve increased them - and bills are rising again by 6.4% in April.

Scotland is an energy-rich nation and the fact we’re paying sky-high prices is Westminster failure in action. We deserve better.

This Budget, like every year, has been shaped by financial limitations imposed by Westminster. And while we do our best with the allocation we receive, the reality is that Scotland’s finances are still very much dictated by UK Government decisions.
