Or hating the DPP for corruption (some of them are, disappointingly) while supporting the TPP and KMT who are only care about corruption only when it's done by DPP members

Other instances would include hating AfD-supporting Muslims more than AfD-supporting Christians, or the many cases of hating hypocrites more than actual evil

Nice!

The ⿰㐅也 character U+323BF for anyone who wants to use it now.

I like just using the syntax and the fix, feat, and maybe ci keywords, which feels zero effort to me while being better than nothing for any automation I might want to do

*fine

This is the result of one thumb typing without autocorrect...

Like, Taiwanese people visiting Japan used to marvel at being yielded to by Japanese drivers not that long ago. It really can be effective occasionally, even though it absolutely is overrated especially regarding speeding.

No country has made traffic actually safe just by enforcement (yes)
No country has made traffic safer just by enforcement (very wrong, this is overcorrected. less dangerous but still not safe still counts as "safer" usually)
December 14, 2025 at 5:37 PM
Taiwan went from a country where basically no one yielded to pedestrians at crosswalks to one where people… do, consistently (though begrudgingly), practically overnight in May 2023 thanks to an enforcement drive.

Taiwan's traffic planning is still broken as ever, but enforcement isn't nothing.

應該也還沒到即將上線的程度,就是他們希望做,覺得找到一個方法,但在做下去之前先問意見
也沒看到他們提到在哪可用

how 'bout *you* get your acceptance of other people's standards checked so you'd stop laughing at a heartwarming moment of kindness

If "no politics" + taking centrist positions is tolerated, then "no politics" + taking queer-friendly positions should at least be just as tolerated.

But practically speaking "keep politics out / no politics" is often said as if only one side is political, so IMO it's confusing phrasing at best.
December 6, 2025 at 3:19 PM
No politics can mean "accept our position and don't discuss it here", which can be meaningful because not every space is capable of allowing controversial topics. In this sense, a space both stating a position and disallowing political discussions at the same time can make sense.
December 6, 2025 at 3:19 PM
Surely at this scale it's only meaningful to compare the trend in the last, like, 10 years

Stagnating around 1% vs Declining from 80% to god-knows-where (at this scale 5% looks identical to 1%) is, like, so useless it's borderline clickbait

I don't want to bother looking up the actual English name of that fucking party that's somehow moved from being a "more Taiwan independence than DPP" party to a party campaigning on hating trans women and minimizing the existence of trans people
