Dragon Half is something I am Extremely Normal™ about. God this series needs a renaissance.

New game from the developers of Astalon is out today!
Mita Ryūsuke returns with more character designs, and this time these crazy bastards were able to get permission to sneak a Mink cameo in there.
Please let this be one small step towards getting a new Dragon Half game. PLEASE I WOULD DO ANYTHING.

Howdy howdy howdy.

I have two copies of the official strategy guide if you need one.

(It's also available on the Internet Archive: archive.org/details/offi... and is incredibly dorky/quaint in the way that all 90's strategy guides were.)

Oh dang, you made a Silhouette Mirage keychain at one point? Mad at myself for missing out on it. What did it look like?

Big fan of your merch. Looking forward to whatever you do next!

Inbelievable! Unconceivable! But it didn't matter. AntiBubzia on the other world was doing the precisely exact same thing backwards to cancel out Bubzia's completed run every freaking time.

lmao at her final social post. This was probably about an hour before she decided to end it all.

Starting off new year great! My Tamagotchi died tonight because I left her with the in-game sitter this morning and forgot to pick her up before 6 PM. Three hours later and I guess that was enough to make her kill herself.

I was refreshing my memory on the various Rockman X Carddass series because I remembered them being utterly bonkers nonsense (complimentary) and I had somehow forgotten there was a villain duo named "Confuse A Stoner".

They've posted this only on the dead bird site, but I really love this SOUP room created by @submarichamomi.bsky.social!

Beautiful detailed art and color palette, and nice use of the camera angle to make an evocative screenshot!

Also I dunno who uploaded SOUP ROOMS to IGDB/Backloggd but I really like this little poster they made for it. Wish I could hang it on my wall.

I haven't made a single penny off of indie game development, but I'll occasionally stumble across some really kind words that still make it feel like it was all worth it.
December 12, 2025 at 10:28 PM
Yeah, of course. Itch.io is your best bet for uploading, I think. We made a post about it in the comments section for Bapalon that goes into more detail.

You pilot this little egg mech that can retract its limbs and spin around really fast. You can also disembark and walk around on foot to talk with people and access indoor areas. Boss battles shift into 3D without losing *any* of the gamefeel (which is quite an incredible feat, honestly).
December 2, 2025 at 5:44 AM
Oh you'd better believe I'm going to use this opportunity to recommend EGG for the Sega Dreamcast. Easily my favorite Dreamcast game along with Grandia II. It's a sci-fi Zelda-like with gorgeous hand-drawn environments, a unique atmosphere, a great soundscape, and just overall fun to play.

Following that thought: *Very* hard disagree on this take. In both instances you are fundamentally changing how a game looks in favor of a fantasy of how you think it *should* look. It's the sacrifice of preservation and accuracy in favor of "better graphics".

Old games are supposed to look old!

God I hate remaster/remake culture. Losing my mind at how many reviews/comments I've seen that complain about the vertex jitter in the new version of R-Type Delta.

"Wobbly polygons" are part of the charm, aesthetic, and visual identity of PS1 games.

Old games are *supposed to look old*.

RIP Udo Kier.
I mostly knew him from his role in Riget (which I'm fairly certain traumatized me as a wee larva), but I also knew him from the very early era of the Internet where his personal website would greet you with this delightful video:

People forget that Vincent existed in Silent Hill 3. He was both "sexy" and darkly comedic in a Jeff Goldblum kinda way.

And let's not forget how the main villain of Silent Hill 4 was basically just a buff version of Kurt Cobain. Sexy in that grunge, Gen X, dangerous-feeling way.

This one looks really close.
