Going from Portland to Los Angeles to Portland to Vancouver, Canada and then back to Portland over the course of 2 weeks has been exhausting, though the break in routine and seeing loved ones was very important. I'm gonna pass out for two days straight now though.

anyways when it all comes down to it all you have to do is live and connect and if you can't "accomplish" anything else, that is okay. all you need to do is love and that's it. and of course above all take care of yourself and treat yourself (your animal) right. we are all the owners of ourselves

really important. watching that sort of stuff often is not activism, nor is it staying informed. you do not need to see every death in graphic detail, nor every horror up close from every angle. that is self harm. you will traumatize yourself for absolutely nothing and we will be weaker for it
reminder: do NOT post/repost videos of someone being shot without content warnings, and also probly don't watch it in general; consistently viewing violence like that over time WILL traumatize u further and u will not actually gain anything from it

My understanding is the feds are reviewing national wildlife refuges to determine if some are no longer needed or no longer fulfill their mandate. A clear pretext to open the door to development, etc. Nothing is safe and everything must be put under as much public + journalistic scrutiny as possible
