The next trilogy is Robin Hobb’s Elderlings series is “The Liveship Traders” (starting with Ship of Magic) and I was reluctant to start it because I’m just not very interested in sailing and pirates. Turns out it’s awesome, and every second of reading it I’ve thought “holy shit this is so cool”

Nobody talks about it but a good deal of the popular furry artists you love probably started or at least first gained popularity because MLP fandom was absolutely ravenous and rewarded participants generously
Around 2011 I obtained the means for making digital art, and around that time the MLP fandom exploded, providing a very welcoming space for amateurs. So even though I had piles of sketchbooks full of furry femboys and starts to comics, I didn't establish a continuous online identity until then.

"How I became a furry" trends are tempting but I never feel satisfied with them. There are multiple levels to this question and I feel like most people pick one to answer, but "How did you become interested in animals?" is a different question from "How did you start participating in fandom?"
