Two thoughts that preoccupy far too much of my brain-cycles:
1: The games industry is fucked on so many levels. 20+ year old studios are axed because of some corporate weirdo's whim
2: The past decade has been THE golden age of videogames. More amazing stuff released each month than I can percieve
