I could imagine if sediment continued to fill up the area around them, given enough geologic time maybe the Great Lakes drain and begin solidifying into rock then it would fossilize? Also not a geologist so 🤷🏻♂️

Honestly how I prompted ChatGPT was essentially outlining the pseudocode. I remember that was one of the earlier assignments in my C++ class I took. Knowing what you want to execute and each step it will require along the way is half the battle.

While I’m against generative AI for images and writing scripts in news (very anti-journalism), I do think it is a useful tool to do things like coding. I have limited coding skills, but enough baseline understanding to know how to prompt AI to get working code.
I used it for a project as well.
