Trans people are not scary. They should not be listed as “nihilistic violent extremists.” Trans people are just trying to find a place in the world to feel safe and loved. We need to speak up and support our trans friends and family and show that they are kind, joyful, caring, and loving.

My Uncle Kevin was the only family member I had that I ever felt unconditional love from. He’s been gone for 16 years and I still think of him all the time.

Are people who are genuinely nice and caring really that much of a rarity now?
Genuinely asking because I’ve noticed that people are so thankful toward me for basic human kindness.
To me it feels odd to thank another person for that but I guess if it’s lacking, that would make sense.
