Not the former Columbus Crew defender. 38-jump chump. Thad Stevens/Henry Wallace stan account. He/hij/lui. Not diagnosed, but no one disputes it.

The night before the layoffs, they were up late working on this thing, in case they lost their jobs and access to our internal systems in the morning.

I cannot fathom better colleagues. I am immensely grateful for everything they did to bring this to life.

Perot threw a big monkey wrench into that election, but everyone acted like Clinton's win was due purely to Carville's political genius.

(A friend was a ghost writer for him and despises him. Dude sucks.)

Very famously. They were mainstays of the talk shows in the '90s and '00s. Every moderate Dem is constantly trying to win his approval.

(And why tf does almost no one make a big fridge that works well with cabinets?)

There was a Samsung fridge that looked great that I really wanted for our kitchen, but we opted for a (way too expensive) Bosch instead because of the quality issues.

Did you guys spend any time on US Park Police? I always thought it was unsettling that the J6 Commission basically ignored them.

Has there been another technology with adoption patterns like this? PCs, WWW, adaptive cruise, etc. - generally adoption/positive views seemed to increase with familiarity. AI seems to not be correlated at all (at best).

I second this recipe, and it's easy if you're familiar with it. (Problem is that I make it like once a year at best, so I'm mostly relearning it every time.)

I still think it's f'd up that we can only bring habeas petitions against the federal govt in the place where we're held. Congress could at least extend that to include the place where the petitioner is brought into custody.

Granted, most Dems have been too feckless to just respond in kind to the GOP

A thirty minute cover of 4'33" would be much better than the Counting Crows

A friend of mine recorded some This American Life and sent me a CD of it. That was the story he really wanted me to hear. (With good reason!)

"Bad Sex with Bud Kemp" was on there, too. Nothin' but bangers.

Package was sent three months before the legal transfer of the property. The last 2 months+ of construction is finishing, and I'm sure they didn't close the day after the painters left, so there was a structure there to receive a FedEx package.

(Speaking as a guy who stopped by my currently-under-renovation house this evening to pick up some mail and packages.)
February 7, 2026 at 1:54 AM
If it's being built under contract for them, I could see it. Like, you've paid the contractor for the house and property already, but it doesn't legally get wrapped up until after it's finished. It's still "your house" during construction. (Just speculating.)

Rosa DeLauro (D-Sikorsky) wants to go easy on the paramilitaries?
February 7, 2026 at 12:57 AM
Ugh. Of course. And that explains why the recipes in the Gourmet cookbooks from ~2005 almost always work: they supposedly retested every one in a pro kitchen with a pro cook and in a residential kitchen with an amateur.
