There are lots of misconceptions about how the Islamic Republic works and Iran in general. Two of the most consequential ones are:
1. "The Ayatollah". Iran actually has a number of ayatollahs (it's a religious title) & I.R.I is not single handedly governed by one (Khamenei).

On Sunday, I went to the Jewish cemetery in Lübeck Moisling to see the grave of Therese Teichner. She died in July 1945, only 17 years old. Three months earlier, she was liberated in Bergen Belsen.
Teichner's story is a powerful reminder of the forgotten Holocaust victims, in a multitude of ways.
