I forgot to alt-text! The photo is of orange-brown dried up obedient plant stems and leaves, but in the middle there is a pair of pink blossoms plus one pink bud all growing from the same brown stem, and you can see another pink blossom in the background of the top right.

This is a very unpicky plant that thrives in most lighting, soil, and moisture conditions. Extremely beginner-friendly, and pollinators love it!

Conoclinium coelestinum spreads readily from seed and I must say, the feeling of gently pulling that seed fuzz is so satisfying. Then just pat it onto bare soil in a new spot, and odds are high you’ll have a new patch of blue mistflower next summer!
