No one even bothers to demand that Donald Trump resign anymore because everyone knows he has zero integrity and would never put the country first.

I believe that Christians like me—and people of faith more generally—have a responsibility to stand up to the extremists who use religion to divide our society and undermine our democracy.

MAGA’s War on Empathy
This crisis in Minneapolis reveals a deep moral rot at the heart of Trump’s movement.

Finally got around to a bit of research I'd been meaning to explore, and: There is no documented instance of an ICE officer being identified and assaulted while off duty because he wasn't masked. www.pbump.net/o/ices-excus...
ICE’s excuse for wearing masks has never actually manifested
There have been incidents of harassment and threats. But there are no apparent incidents in which identified ICE officers have been assaulted off-duty.

New in PN: 'Abolish ICE' is imperative

"There's no amount of training that can instill basic humanity in thugs who willingly mistreat women, children, and old men. ICE agents reportedly dined at a Mexican restaurant in MN before arresting employees. How will 'training' fix that level of depravity?"
'Abolish ICE' is imperative
It's also better politics than you might think.

Worth keeping in mind that while much of ICE Barbie's $200 million propaganda budget is being given to friends to run recruitment ads, at least $8 million has been set aside to pay "influencers" across all social media sites to boost DHS lies and attack those who tell the truth. On BlueSky too.

Another pet peeve: Under Trump, the term "diplomat' has come to mean unqualified, ignorant hack.

It is like the way "patriot" has come to mean anti-American, pro-fascist bigot.

Orwellian double-speak is the official language of the Trump Administration.

Alex Pretti was a 37-year-old ICU nurse who devoted his life to caring for veterans. He was murdered in cold blood by the U.S. government.
Trump’s Goons Are the Terrorists. This Is What We Must Do Now
In the wake of a CBP agent’s murder of VA nurse Alex Petti, it’s clear that halfway measures, aggrieved speeches, and strongly worded letters are no longer adequate.

There has been an increasing sense in Minneapolis that we are on our own, that our elected representatives are unwilling and/or unable to take action to get these murderous Nazi thugs out of our community. I really hope that changes today. The time for pleading TV hits ended weeks ago.

New in PN: What if we just stopped paying taxes?

"Like many other blue states, Minnesota pays more to the federal government than it takes in. But why should the state continue to subsidize a government bent on destroying it? What if it just … didn’t?"

I keep seeing posts stating that ICE cannot enter your home or a private business without a judicial warrant. While that is legally correct, in reality ICE routinely violates the law by forcing their way in, often by smashing down doors, before violently assaulting people.

Trumpism is fascism.

14 US states have abortion bans, leading to a rise in maternal and infant mortality. Global experience shows that criminalizing abortion doesn't increase birth rates - it risks women’s health and lives, making it harder to obtain legal medical care and forcing them into clandestine abortions.

In early December 2025, a law came into force in Texas banning the sale of medication abortion drugs to residents. Since the summer of 2022, when the U.S. Supreme Court allowed states to set their own...

The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.
