Ikr? Yesterday there was a Waymo at an intersection I usually wait to cross cuz it's a kinda steep hill & humans mightn't see me/stop. Because it was a Waymo, I just darted out into the street. They reliably stop every time. People only report on the failures. The everyday successes don't get views.

I've seen Waymos around for at least a decade. They're always so much safer than human drivers. I feel way more (Waymo?) comfortable as a pedestrian or cyclist when I'm near them than when I'm near human drivers. Rideshare drivers in particular will pull really unsafe shit that Waymos would never.

Don't forget about the disgusting things he said on Reddit! If the Nazi tattoo isn't enough to make you think he's racist, perhaps the comments about Black people will. Or maybe you'll think twice about voting for the guy who's blaming rape victims for being raped

Yeah Platner literally called it his totenkopf. He knew what it was and didn't bother to get it removed or covered in a decade or more.

My mother once got a seatbelt ticket because she was putting on her seatbelt as my dad was exiting the parking lot. She's the only person I know to ever get one (and it happened in SF 😕). Cops need a smidge of common sense to go with that authority.

The PBS News Hour used to routinely invite him on as their substitute right wing opinion guy when Brooks was out. I haven't seen him in a while. I'm hoping he was cancelled after this, though I might've just missed it when he was on. I despise him.

It's extra hard without the support of the military! He seems to think he can anger them, let them know he doesn't back them and they'll still fall over themselves to do his bidding. I don't think appointing Hegseth won him any friends among the officers or enlisted. Hard to coup without them.
