Tonight, we did something everyone counted out. We proved to a nation that states like Tennessee are still worth fighting for. The margin was close, and that can only be attributed to the thousands of volunteers who showed out. This is just the beginning.

When people complain about education in America, remember that we are the only country in the world with such a focus on collegiate sports. Imagine if donors gave money so that research could be conducted or buildings kept up to date. But for now we just have really nice lockerrooms for teams.
This year, universities are giving $228 million to football coaches who failed at coaching football so that they won't coach football anymore.

For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

Jeffries says not to expect Democrats to pursue Hegseth impeachment over boat strikes
"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor," he said.

Or maybe if we took mental health seriously, this could have been address in 2023. It is so sad to know that multiple people knew he needed help and he didn't, for whatever reason, get it.

If I am the department chair, I am requesting every single paper she has submitted for comparison. If the writing is different or if she cited things properly or if she put punctuation inside quotes, I would immediately challenge that this was not her work and therefore a code of conduct violation.

I hope that ALL of the criminal attorneys, bar associations, and judges in these states let their representatives know that they are not above the law. Setting this type of precedence makes the two tier justice system crystal clear.

Senators work FOR the people and MUST follow the same laws.
Take a moment to listen

@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social how about proposing an amendment to the CR that states all senators, congresswomen/congressmen, the vp, and the president must stay in DC if there is a shutdown? I would like to know that elected officials are working towards a resolution and not raising $$.

This is the way.
Soft secession

Legislation creates a Federal Tax Escrow Account in the state treasury. Instead of employers forwarding collected federal taxes to Washington, they send them to the state. The state holds the money in escrow. A legislative panel reviews federal spending for constitutional compliance.

This Veterans Day, I’m thinking of the millions of Americans who have served in uniform — and how our government is failing them right now.

Words aren’t enough, we need actions. Fund the VA. Fund mental healthcare. And end endless wars.

You say "our victory" and that is where I have an issue. If we win next November it will not include those that caved. No infighting, they are no longer aligned with what the PEOPLE want.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

YOU are what we voted AGAINST last Tuesday. So I'm gonna hang on to that.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.
