If you find a pup please gently scoop it up in a small towel & contain in a box. If you can add a heat source like a hot water bottle or wheat bag against the box-that would be helpful.
Please do not ever attempt to feed them, even water. The most critical thing is safety and gentle warmth ❤️🦇

Bats, people, and their ecosystems are closely connected, and so actions to support one part of this system also benefit the entire system.

This little fellow was found, along 4 others, inside a wall during a house renovation. I'm caring for them until the house reno is done and is safe for them to go back. Bats like this live in roosts, this particular group were all males, living in a bachelor's pad #BatWeek #bat #wildlife

Right? We don't think about bats grooming! But they are tidy wee things! Especially fun is when they "comb" their fur with their toes. #FastestFeetInTheWest

A pic of a #bat I cared for. This Ozimops got grounded at the local doctor and needed some TLC. This species of free-tailed bats thrives in urban environments but gets easily in trouble. Never attempt to rescue bats if you are not trained and vaccinated, call your local wildlife carers. #batweek
