Writing about her in the past tense is surreal and heartbreaking. Lynnette died this morning, 6 months after receiving a bone marrow transplant and 10 months after her leukemia diagnosis.
Hug your loved ones. Tell your mentors how much they mean to you. And f#¢% cancer.

She was frank, and she was kind. She was strong as steel but didn’t force herself on anyone. She didn’t need to. She was always authentically herself.
