I really love a tea called Pu’erh Treasure. It’s pu’erh with dried ginger, dried orange peel, some kind of dried berry, and licorice root, which I’m not supposed to have. Next up is dried orange peel. I’ll just make my own blend.

He gave me a cortisone shot to relieve the pain, and we reassess in five months. In the meantime, continue with physio and see how it goes. I suspect another knee replacement will be inevitable, it will just be a matter of how long can I hold out.

As for my actual knee issues -- doc described how a meniscus tear is actually a symptom of arthritis (this happened with my right knee). New x-ray showed arthritis has progressed. The question: can I recover from the tear and get back to where I was, or is this the downward slide towards surgery?

I was really sad -- it's really helpful for me to know I'm getting a package of vegetables once a week. And I liked her and her approach. But I couldn't deny she was right, it was too much out of an already heavy workload to spend an afternoon driving to Guelph and back for a handful of people.

A lot of things are starting to die off, because the heat is really too much for them. I likely have a bit more basil for pesto, but those plants will get pulled this week. I want to plant in lettuces and kale/chard, but it's just too hot for them. So, I wait.

So I'm going to cook all the potatoes in the pressure cooker and set half aside for another meal. I went out to our garden and picked all the beans that were ripe -- enough for two meals, so I'll probably make a potato and bean salad tomorrow. Or Monday.

I decided to get two lots of potatoes (and yep, she told me to grab a couple more), and a glorious cauliflower. Then I said, hmm, radish. But the radishes were less expensive, so she asked if I wanted to toss some herbs in to make it $20. She had really nice dill -- mine didn't grow. Super!

I also wanted some new potatoes. I was tempted by some fingerlings, but they were storage AND those, you have to roast them. We are living in a sauna right now, so nope. But they had really lovely yellow potatoes. Woman at the stall said if I bought four items, it would be $20. Okay!
