Agree on the difficulties of this when living on your own. The flaking means more alone time, not chilling at home with partner, kids, housemates etc … love my alone time but sometimes a flake out can turn a weekend into an unplanned social hiatus!

I feel like there is an awful ageism in the insistence that *everything* needs to be negotiated or paid for online & needs a password, pin or app, or a mobile. If you don’t have others around who can help, it’s like being dropped off the edge of a societal cliff. Ditto if you are poor.
