A Father's Lament My three daughters all voted for Harris. Two of them have stopped speaking to me (and one is boycotting Thanksgiving) because I voted Nazi. I did not tell thrm how to vote. I did not presume to argue or even to convince them not to associate with people of other races. I cannot fathom why they expect me to tolerate this lack of basic social courtesy merely because I wish them to be stripped of their rights and forced to be brood mares for other fathers' proud and well-muscled sons who I totally do not imagine engaging in such activities with my ungrateful baby girls. I have the right to my opinion. A man should be able to practice eugenics in his own home. This is what freedom is and I am very angry at my children for hating freedom, even were I to forgive them for hating me. Which I most certainly do not. I will not talk about their mother, The Bitch. American society has lost its way, hiding behind the smelly skirts of women, and it now must return to the bountiful embrace of tall, hard men in sleek, black uniforms, all practically exploding from their swelling pride. This, this: women cannot comprehend the warrior spirit of a boy in his prime, they can only tremble at his feet in fear and awe in the presence of such Aryan vitality. I did always want to have a boy, you know. Or two. Yes, it's true, two at the same time can be a bit much. But I hear it's worth it.

Is it just me, or do you agree this cream-colored kitten is ABSURDLY pretty? I mean, wow. The other photos aren't as good.

When he arrived, he was confronted with what he described as "an angry mob." "It was disheartening, to say the least," Harris said. He arrived a few minutes after the obelisk had already been toppled and said he stayed for about 45 minutes, during which he said there was a sense of lawlessness he hadn't previously encountered in Santa Fe. Harris, who moved to Santa Fe in 1999, said he is "very much a liberal" and believes in free and fair protest, but what he saw that day was something different. "There was an undertone of violence," he said, adding he felt like many people present were inordinately happy they had succeeded in destroying the monument.

Michael Tolkin's 1991 film, “The Rapture”, is little known and a minor gem.

Tolkin makes stunning and courageous choices. It's arguably amazing that the film got made.I cheered at the end, and probably not for the reason you think.

For fascists, hypocrisy is a flex and not an embarrassment. It says: "I make the rules and I enforce the rules, not you." Does pointing out the hypocrisy alter the opinion of the undecided audience? Maybe. Does it bolster a sense of brutal, inevitable fascist power that's attractive to some? Maybe.
