“We know from tracing its path that fascism does not require a spectacular ‘march’ on some capital to take root,” he writes. “Seemingly anodyne decisions to tolerate lawless treatment of national ‘enemies’ is enough.”

I wrote up my analysis of what Ross's movements and actions reveal about whether or not he had a "reasonable belief that he was in imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury" (the legal standard). I list 7 crucial moments that suggest he did not. asharangappa.substack.com/p/friday-rou...

I see the FDA are going to look into whether vaccines cause allergies. Fine, go ahead. But as a mother of a kid with a few severe allergies, I have to ask – even if they do, what's the plan? Because I'd rather deal with allergies than with diphtheria tbh.

Sometimes, a front page can sum up quite a lot that’s wrong with the world. Including the paper itself which has been so complicit in getting us to a place where children born to refugees could be deported, Trump celebrates despotic wealth and Boris Johnson’s sister moans about not being rich. Ugh.
