We've done San Diego to Santa Rosa and back a few times. Its 8 hours so we over-nite somewhere dog friendly. We stop more often for a bathroom break than needing to charge.

I agree with what you are saying ... but we could have been staring at a 40% cut as well as cuts in indirect costs.

As and FYI - I received the NOA for the last year of an R01 funded by NIEHS on 1/16/26. It was supposed to start 12/1/25, obviously delayed by the shutdown but start date is the same and there was no reduction in $$ from previous years. Just lucky?

I simply cannot understand how anyone can say that being "too poor" is not an ethical issue especially if they are saying it to support a study that is flawed in so many ways.
