People get weird on social media because the system is weird. It's not just narcissism when people chase numbers, repost jokes, or track followers, it’s what the system trains you to care about. That’s not personality, that’s conditioning.
shit that always strikes me as obsessive on social media:
- "why don't you follow me/why have you unfollowed me?"
- reposting your own jokes like they matter
- giving a crap about "tweet theft" etc
- trying to do "numbers"
- strategically trying to build your "audience" (narcissist/grift alert)
