Have a kid under the age of 10? Big shout out to the game Tock Tock Woodman. I have no idea if it's even still in print, but it's a wonderfully easy game to pick up.
Also fun if you're at a gathering of tipsy friends who would love to knock stuff over.

Heating pads are so easy to make and have been my #1 way of cutting down on student visits to the nurse. Rice, a sock and some soft fabric - That's all it takes to make a cuddly little tool that gives both physical and mental comfort.

I couldn't find a knit pattern for a hood/balaclava that 1. worked with my materials and 2. I was happy with, so I'm using the measurements of Paton's Haute Hood to cobble something together.

Gotta say, this was delightful from start to finish.

My #ShowMeYourKnits horror story is this yellow hat that was originally for my daughter. One accidental wash cycle later, and it has become a toy for Mr Bear here. 🧶

Finished, but sooooo unstructured.
This yarn + this sizing = humongous mess
I'll be trying again with a slightly decreased cast on and smaller needles. I can at least enjoy this hat, but if others are going to be gifted a knit, it needs to have more shape to it.
