Accessibility isn’t only compliance or conformance; it isn’t just acknowledging and considering the various needs of different types of people. It is about being kind, first and foremost.

Instead of thinking of the “user”, we need to view them as people and not statistics or engagement.

“They put me on the stretcher and lifted me up. The moment we got outside the house, I saw it. The sky. The stunning blue sky.

“I’m living under this breathtaking blue sky!” I thought to myself. “The sky is one piece of this whole big world. And here, right in the middle of it all, I’m alive!”

🚨BREAKING: The last journalists working for AFP in Gaza have said they can no longer work for the news agency.

They are out of energy and they are starving to death.

I have never seen a statement from a news organisation like it.

Hi all. I wrote a bit about my father, who died suddenly on June 30. It is also about the real possibility of change against illusions of perpetuity, and what data can and cannot do for remembering what is unsaid. mail.cyberneticforests.com/my-fathers-d...

If you missed it live, it’s now up on the world wide web!

Hey! Presents · What do you see?
In this talk, Lola explores what it means to deconstruct an image and radically centre screen-reader users, using alt-text as an art space. How can we create an experience for screen-reader users that is just as creative and considered as the sighted experience?
