Given how long it takes, why would I compose a drawing that contains more tree (in square inches) than raccoon? Because I’m increasingly aware of how much our urban wildlife depends on big old trees. Yes, animals adapt — but they won’t thrive if we get rid of the trees. #SciArt #UrbanWildlife
