ouaghh mental health bad so I haven’t been drawing much bUT I’ve gotten comfy with my new sewing machine and she earned her first sticker for exceptional work fixing like 10 pieces of clothing today, what a good noodle!! she only tried eating the fabric once, which is understandable

The buff-tip moth (Phalera bucephala) has mastered a very particular kind of camouflage.

When they close their wings up, they resemble a broken twig.

Native to large parts of Europe, there's regional pattern variation that reflects the local tree species. This one best resembles birch twigs?

Do you remember the lantern deer painting? It is now dry and varnished. I stupidly bought this nice (and expensive) frame for it even though I have no use for the painting. For now It comes to my pile of unused paintings until I have an idea what to do with it.
In the meantime enjoy the view :)

a bigger barrier for art is the rising cost of living. folks should be advocating for better social safety nets, not false solutions like generative imagery, which is both expensive and soulless.

"but art should be accessible" it is, you can learn to draw, paint, collage, sculpt, make pixels. right now, starting today. art has never been more accessible monetarily nor physically than it is now in this age. access to artist labor and machine production is not an accessibility issue.
