Young American men volunteer for military service, knowing they may have to sacrifice their lives for their country.
But they didn't volunteer to sacrifice their futures to protect the President or Secretary of Defense from being convicted of crimes.

What a topsy-turvy time we live in.
As an Army veteran it is absolutely the duty of the military to reject illegal orders. Everyone in the military is taught this during Basic Training and it is in the (UCMJ) Uniform Code of Military Justice. We all swear to defend the Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic.
This is how we win.
Fear is contagious, but so is courage. I remain steadfast in my oath to the Constitution and am grateful to those across the nation who stand with us. Don't give up the ship.

As an Army veteran I can confirm that we were taught that we had the right to disobey an illegal order, and who to report illegal orders to. Disobeying an illegal order is our sworn duty. We swore to defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic regardless of who gave the order.
