Somebody asked how to approach modeling this camera unit in CAD, mentioning having poly-modeling background. Tip: you can always blockout the model in any DCC and export it to Plasticity as a reference mesh.

Done. This was not easy, took a few tries. There are a few mistakes but for the purpose of learning I'm happy with how it turned out. Also exported it into ZBrush for testing (2nd image)

Learning Plasticity goes on, I chose this grip and so far it's been quite a challenge. Any experienced CAD modelers here? Would love to see your take on this 😀

Second Plasticity model. Well actually first, since I started with this, but had to put it aside until I get better grasp on surfacing. Thanks to Kuechenmeister and his explanations I managed to get this done now.

Finally started to learn Plasticity, was on my to-do list for too long. If anyone knows good surfacing tutorials or tips & tricks, please share! My main sources so far have been the channels of PixelFondue and Kuechenmeister.

Due to RL I did not have as much time to do personal projects in 2025, but I did finish the bike which was great (some smaller projects as well).
Also started my mentorship program and it was a really good experience. Start of next year I will do giveaways for the mentorship again, stay tuned. 😀

I'm participating in a challenge, task is to make this cool pistol grip. I saw those custom competitive shooting grips before and thought those look very interesting. It's gonna be challenging figuring out how to model this. 😅
