1. As some Democrats have run from transgender rights, Zohran Mamdani is showing what so many others have lacked: courage to lead with his values over pandering to focus groups.

The ad is one of the best things I've seen from a politician on transgender people.

I remember commissioning this story from my friend @baxterholmes.bsky.social 11 whole years ago. It is not a complex decision when you know any history at all. And now Trump is trying basically criminalize being against this racism.

If the first word you see as your enemy is liberal, communist, socialist, far-leftists while the fascists are taking or have taken over all our institutions and armed forces, then you are an absolute idiot that is failing to meet the dangers and seriousness of our present reality. We are in a war.

The thing about the Khalil case is that it's very very good that he's free now but you can't have it take three months between "the government kidnaps you off the street for no basis reason whatsoever" and "a judge makes them let you go." You just can't.

Tragically, the outrageous assault of Sen. Padilla today is becoming normal behavior for a Trump administration which is moving us toward authoritarianism.

The American people do not like petty tyrants. We defeated King George in 1776. We will defeat King Donald.

Surprise! It was slavery all along.
Take a listen and seriously consider it. While this is not an uncommon practice, I am glad people are beginning to speak up about it.

This is insane. I’m trying to think what the reaction would have been if Mayorkas, DHS Secretary under Biden, had got his security folks to manhandle and shove Tom Cotton or Ted Cruz in this way.

"Hands off!," Padilla can be heard yelling.

Never seen a US senator handled this way.

Trump’s ICE militia is deploying to US streets as if it’s the US military on the streets of Fallujah.

George W Bush gave us the war on terror.
Donald Trump is giving us fascism and white supremacy.

What a combo.

It’s about a creeping shift in responsibility where firms are asking front-line retail staff to quietly take on the roles of loss prevention, security and even delicate customer de-escalation without commensurate pay, training or legal protections”
Opinion: Supermarket workers are wearing body cameras. Welcome to the new dystopia
Supermarket workers wearing surveillance devices prominently on their chests is a strong signal of mistrust - of shoppers, and even of other staff members

In New York, ICE detained a busload of farmworkers that were actively involved in a union drive.

In Washington state, ICE dragged a farmworkers’ rights activist and leader out of his car to detain him.

Be warned: attacking unions is a hallmark of fascism.

Because of our reporting and many readers contacting Planned Parenthood of Arizona, the organization will NOT over comply with Trump, and is restarting its trans adult care.

Good work everyone.

You should prepare for severe supply disruptions and policies that amount to potential bans.

We’re in a different phase of fascism.

Trump is defying the Supreme Court order to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia. He’s fantasizing about abducting “home-grown” Americans and sending them to a camp in El Salvador.

We have to rethink everything and fight back.

What we all just witnessed had all the earmarks of a criminal conspiracy to deprive Abrego-Garcia of his constitutional rights, as well as an impeachable offense. The fraud scheme was a phony agreement engineered by the US to have Bukele say he lacks power to return Abrego Garcia and he won't do it.
